Sixth Birthday Research Paper

For my sixth birthday party, my parents bestowed upon me the most fascinating, thought-provoking, inspirational gift that a six-year-old could possibly receive: a magician to perform at my house for me and my friends.. Shortly after the show the magician granted me with a “magic kit”: a book with instructions on how to perform easy tricks and the props needed to execute them. Five minutes of tinkering stretched into five hours, and I was amazed with the sensation of departing from the role of the audience and assuming that of the entertainer. Being active was much more fun than being passive. Doing was better than seeing.

Six years later, my life was bogged down with the cruelties and hardships of sixth grade. Having spent many hours
