Six-Hours Research Paper
In my opinion, six-hour work days shouldn't become standard in the United States. The shorter shifts, like six-hour days, will also mean you will need a lot of employees working for you so that all shifts would be covered. I have never agreed with the short work days because it's not what you call a full day of work. I also believe that it wouldn't be good for the employees as far as with their health and sickness. When you six-hour days, that is also making yourself lose two hour wages each day. It also interferes with health care coverages that full-time workers are eligiable to receive every month. If you cut the hours down to six-hours a day, you won't be making as much as you would be with eight-hour shifts. Also, places like hospitals

“If you're getting rad and there is no one around to see it, are you really getting rad?” (Andy Hayes) This question proposed by Andy Hayes is a tough one to answer, and is one that puzzles skiers and snowboarders across the world. On one hand, you just nailed a totally righteous line that would undoubtedly leave you're alpine counterparts flabbergasted. On the other hand, nobody saw it, and will anybody actually believe your word when you tell them of your incredible feats. Besides for the question of are you getting rad, another must be answered; how rad did you actually get? We can all brag and rant about how amazingly we skied a line, but there must be a quantitative way to prove who got the raddest.…

In addition to these changes part time employees will also be cut down on hours. They will be working 1, 2, or 3 day workweeks. This will also depend on the amount of hours the employee is normally schedules throughout the week. These changes will not be leading to the closing of any of our existing stores but for the mean time we do not plan on opening any new stores either.…

One of the biggest fears of college students is gaining an excessive amount of weight. As most UMass students know, the school’s dining commons are currently ranked second in the United States by the Princeton Review. When I began attending school, the term “Freshman 15” was a common term that was often spoken about amongst my friends. The term “Freshman 15” refers to the amount of weight which is expected to be gained in the first year of college because of the easy access of food. I always looked at the “Freshman 15” as a myth before college. I wanted to learn more about UMass Amherst’s food. I wondered if it could be possible that UMass could be ranked as having one of the best dinning commons in the country and also have healthy…

The freshman 15 is a real thing and for adolescents heading off to college, they should make sure to be cautious of their eating habits. With 142 million Americans being obese, it has become more of a problem with people of all ages, but college freshman have a history of gaining weight when they arrive at school. People speculate that the behavioral, environmental, and occupational changes cause this, along with stress, exercise habits, and the fact that food is available at all times. No matter what the cause is, gaining weight in college is a real problem.…

All throughout our lives we have had to balance school with whatever important thing was going on at that time. In elementary school it was easy. We had to balance school and play time. In middle school it was a little more difficult because we had to balance school, our friends and the occasional relationship. High school was when it became a little tricky because it was when most of us got our first job. We then had to balance our job, friends, relationships, and school. We somehow managed to balance all of these things throughout our lives until college came along. College is a transition period for many students, most of which must learn to balance work, friends, serious relationships, and financial debt.…

There is no doubt that you mean well and all you want for us students is to succeed and do well in life, and there is also no doubt you enjoy wasting students’ time. Seven hours feels like an eternity and it is not really necessary. Five hours and a half hours is plenty. One hour for Language arts, one hour for science, one hour math, one hour for History and thirty minutes for lunch. I enjoy sleeping. It releases tension and stress that you put on me for the seven hours prior to that moment. But, what I don’t enjoy is the sound of my alarm. It just reminds me that I have to go and listen to how earth is made of rock, how Pi is an irrational number, why George Washington was our president and where periods go and don’t go. I mean don’t get me wrong I love learning new things and I think it is important to know certain things but seriously seven hours? How is that helping anything? My alarm is just part of the problem. You’re the real problem. Oh, how I would love to hit snooze on my alarm, but if I miss a day or a few the person that takes care of me and is actually essential to my life might have to attend Court.…
