Situation Analysis With increased responsibility, broader job roles, increased demand, dealing with complaints and emphasis on performance management the professional role in all employment sectors has changed rapidly over the last few years. Teachers have not been immune to this change and it is now widely recognised that the teacher’s role has moved away from a traditional teaching role to one which is more a combination of teacher, administrator and manager.

The need thus, arise to take a look at what becomes of their personal health after discharging their voluminous assignments. Teachers spend so much time doing mental gymnastics without commensurate efforts to take care of their health status (Ogunjimi and Yusuf, 2006). Physical wellness as defined by the national Wellness Institute refers to the degree to which one maintains physical fitness, nutrition, medical safe-care, and personal safety.
