Explain circumstances when it is necessary to seek specialist expertise in relation to recruitment and selection. Specialist expertise in the form of a recruitment agency may be considered when a position needs to be filled within a tight timeline. Or the position is specialist, for example SENCo. Also the company can expand quickly and need a larger influx of new staff to cope with the number of children being enrolled. Disadvantages are they’re expensive and might not understand the exact requirements of the specialist needed. The Nursery manager’s valuable time is then used to explain the candidate’s credentials.
