Sir Richard Branson the founder and chairman of the London based Virgin Group Ltd. Have a very unique leadership style, his consideration in which he enable his employee to communicate with him each day by e-mail emphasize his understanding for mutual respect for all human beings. The characteristic of this leadership style is The Theory Y as illustrate in the Organizational Behavior textbook. Sir Richard Branson leadership behavior reflects the belief that empowers approach to leadership that is based on positive view of human nature, his consideration and initiation structure on how they affect employee performance and job satisfaction. Sir Richard Branson states that loyalty means a lot to him and working with people he know and trust make him feel secure. That why there plenty of opportunities for promotion at Virgin Group Ltd. The leadership style that he has created, allow employee the opportunity to feel that they are a part of the organization and this give them the comfort ability to work toward making the company a great success. The leadership styles that Sir Richard Branson use can be enchantment for other companies to use as a guide to building a gap between leadership and employee. The reason is because his leadership type centered on employees. He has embraced transformational leadership model as a style of leadership. Within this style of leadership, he has empowered his employees to achieve a certain dream of the company. This has led to the increase in efficiency and the self-confidence of the employee. It has also improved value and the wide professional and individual growth of the company. Nevertheless, he has some challenges with this particular type of style leadership in his organization. One of the challenges has been ensuring that the leadership is passed to the subordinate employee in the entire company.
