Both franchises show different species coexisting with each other on multiple planets. As with Joseph Campbell, the monomyth pattern is seen in many movies and books. Stories in which the protagonist goes through struggles that are often unfair, but through hard work and faith they prevail and come out on top. They get knocked down, but they get back up. Three stories that repear this plot are Homer’s Oddyssey, Rocky, and Starwars. In Odyssey, Oddyseus is a leader of a tough war against the Trojans, where he comes out victorious. On his travels home he encounters countless obstacles that he uses wit and faith in his gods to overcome. He ends up happily reunited with his family and lives happily ever after. In Rocky, the main character is Rocky Balboa, who is a struggling boxer who is quickly growing too old for the sport.…

I am glad that Luke stayed the lightning thief or else the movie and book would have been nothing alike in my…

Samurai and Knights were different but the similarities were greater because of their rankings, training, armor, fighting technique, code of honor, and death viewpoint. The Japanese called their warriors Samurai, and the Europeans called their warriors Knights. They both swore oaths of loyalty to noble lords and fought to the death to defend them. This happened at the same time even though Japan and Europe were thousands of miles apart.…
