Similarities Between Landfills And Hot Lunches
When comparing the two graphs, both of them have their benefits and downfalls. While during the hot lunch week, more recyclable materials were used and if properly disposed of, can be helpful to the environment and decrease the amount of waste in landfills. The downfall of hot lunch is the fact that there is usually leftover food and food residue in the recyclable container, which means that it mainly gets thrown into the normal trash. With this factor and in addition its higher weight, the hot lunch garbage seems to put the most waste into landfills, which means that it also affects environment the most. Even though school provided hot lunches put more waste into landfills, they put more biodegradable waste into them which is better than plastic,
