They all had love and respect for their fathers and felt the need to avenge their deaths, which all were brutally killed. All three believed that the murderers had dishonoured their fathers as well as themselves. They all reacted and took different approaches in attempt to restore honour in their families.…

Usually when talking about a movie or a book, it hard to discuss the similarities and the differences. Because sometimes a movie can be more influencing than a book and vice versa. When I first started reading the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, I was confused at first but then as I kept reading, I realized how things can go a certain way and how one person can make a change in the whole world without even meaning to. Personally, what I…

To start it off the genres are almost completely different. The play Hamlet being a tragedy, and Sense and Sensibility is a Victorian novel. While the play Hamlet expresses revenge, and political instability, Sense and Sensibility is centered around social life and acting how people would expect you to react to situations. Hamlet was written by a male, (Shakespeare) and sense and sensibility was written by a female (Jane Austen). While in Sense and Sensibility the main characters are trying to follow the social norms as you would a rule book. While Hamlet is constantly trying to abandon them, as he can see how they brought Denmark to corruption.…

There are both many similarities and differences when comparing and contrasting Shakespeare's play Hamlet versus Franco Zefferelli's film version. The most obvious difference between the two is that they are different mediums, one is written and one is visual. People can have varied perceptions from what you thought the appearances and mannerisms of the characters to be while reading the text then when you see them on the screen. Hamlet appeared to be much older in the film than Ophelia, who looked about the age she was intended to be in the play. Gertrude is perceived to be mature and calm in the play, while in the film she is giddy and acts like a young girl. While the play and film are similar in that the movie uses the original old English…

There are many similarities between the two Romeo and Juliet films. One way the two movies are the same is with the characters. They also have the exact same minor characters such as Sampson, Gregory, Baltazar, Paris, and Prince Escalus. William Shakespeare's Hamlet has been remade a number of times in film and in plays. I recently watched two movies of Hamlet directed by different people. The directors add little things to make it their own interpretation of the play Hamlet. Some directors like to emphasize different scenes for instance. The Hamlet movies that I watched were one directed by Kenneth Branagh, and one by Franco Zeffirelli. The directors in each of these had their own way of telling the story of Hamlet.…

The movie that is being compared to a story here is one of the all-time best. The main theme portrayed in "Shakespeare in Love" is a love that is never meant to be. "Shakespeare in Love" parallels the play Shakespeare is currently working on, Romeo and Juliet, in which love is not meant to be due to the many obstacles in the way. Shakespeare's life in the film is very comparable to Romeo's life in Romeo and Juliet. William Shakespeare's life in the film and the play he is writing has several similarities and differences. In my opinion, this is one of the best movies and books to compare.…
