Similarities Between Finn And Jake The Dog

In the distant land far, far away lies a colorful place called The Land of Ooo where humans seem to have completely disappeared leaving humanoid creatures made out of candy, fire, and other inanimate objects. Within this place their lives the characters Finn the Human and Jake the Dog who are the main characters throughout the show of Adventure time. It starts with a single human named Finn who was left in the wilderness only to be adopted by a couple of dogs. There Finn lived alongside with another dog with magical powers to change his size with the name of Jake whom he creates a strong bond with as brothers. After several years the two leave home to live on their own inside a giant oak tree where they live as adventures seeking challenging
Both Finn and Jake have love for adventuring ever since the start of the show where they adventure out to the Candy Kingdom which results in them fending off candy zombies accidently created by Princesses Bubblegum the ruler of Candy Kingdom. Then in another episode both of them show their fear of vampires as in one of the episodes Finn and Jake are kicked out of their tree house from a vampire right after Jake tells a story about vampires. In addition to that Finn and Jake have shown that they are easily manipulated into situations; as in one of the episodes Finn adventures through a dangerous dungeon just because his foster father kept calling him a cry baby. Then Jake tells how easily he can be manipulated when in one of the episodes he claims that if someone says his name three times that he would do anything for them. Though these characters may not have too many similarities they have many differences that pick them apart from one
One of the differences between them is that Finn is normally energetic and full of motivation while Jake is lazy and lacks motivation. Then Finn has a strong sense of responsibility while Jake is often seen as irresponsible which has caused trouble for the both of them; as there was a time where Finn was captured by a group of dwarfs as they had planned to use Finn’s outstanding amount of energy to power their weapon of mass destruction. In the attempt of trying to rescue Finn, Jake ends up going to multiple parties across the Land of Ooo before being granted a wish which he uses to focus at his task at hand of finding his friend Finn. Finn is often more serious and Jake is more of a jokester often making jokes at more serious times either helpful or ridiculous commits. Though Finn does not have powers meanwhile Jake does which he heavily relays on which showed within one of the episodes when Jake was cursed by a witch that removed Jake’s powers unless he apologized; however, Jake was unwilling to until Finn was in danger of getting killed by a group of monsters. During the show Finn is almost incapable of doing evil as he aspires to become a great hero while Jake is willing to steal and do other bad deeds since he had a past of crime.
