Should The School Dress Code Should Be Abolished Persuasive Essay

At the beginning of the 20th century there wasn't much discussion about the dress code in schools. During that time students weren't dressing so provocatively. There is a big discussion between the students and the schools about the dress code and what they are going to do about it. Should dress codes stay or be removed completely? Schools been debating this topic for years, and many students have strong opinions when it comes to the school dress code and why it should be taken away. Girls and boys all over America say that the dress code is sexist, claiming that the dress code makes them think that hiding their body is more important than their education ,or that it undermines a teenage boy’s maturity level. Society shouldn't teach girls to cover up to make a distraction-free environment for the boys. Instead, families should teach boys that girls are not just sexual objects. To girls clothes are a way of expressing who they are at school which is hard for them to do with the school dress code saying they have to cover everything up. Many female student are complaining that they find the school dress code sexist. Why are bra straps, shoulders, knees, thighs, and mid section considered attractive and distracting?
