Technology in School
During my research, I am going to be finding ways why I think technology in school should be allowed. If we had technology in school it could show how creative and skilled we can be by using technology. Technology should be allowed in school because it can help students that have a learning disability, they can work at their own speed, educational games can help them get a better understanding at something.

It can help them get the feel of what is expected in the real world. It can help them get better at the stuff they already know. It would be really good for them to use ABC mouse and Cool Math. ABC mouse is good for kids to use it teaches them letters, letter sounds, counting, math, science, at and music. Cool Math has basic math concepts, including algebra and geometry. By doing all of this research I feel like we should allow technology in the school and classrooms it can help everyone. It would help the people with a learning disability the most. With this information, I hope it will let people realize how much it would make a difference in people if they allowed technology in school.

Technology is either a boon or bane, depends how and for what purpose it’s being used. If technology is used to cure diseases in people, to help people communicate with each other across geographical boundaries, to reduce human effort by making things simple, easy and accessible, it indeed is a boon. We should embrace technology when it serves its purpose, but not treat as a replacement for teachers. Computerized tests may be better at accurately assessing which reading skills my student needs to focus on, but a computerized test will not know why that student has not mastered that skill. It can dictate a learning program fit to fix that gap, or to propel them forward, but hitting rewind and watching it over and over will not always guarantee that a student masters a concept. So when we let videos be the only teaching tool for a child, or a computer program, then we stop figuring out why that child is not understanding. We lose that human connection that teachers provide…

According to the documentary, technology has helped schools have become an even greater environment for students to learn. Computers and the internet are able to help schools in ways we have never before seen. Students are able to access documents online from teachers through email and forums. And with a click of a button, students are able to read books online and find information about whatever topic they are studying in class. In this case, technology is making it easier for students to learn about new things rather than having to go to the library flipping through endless pages of books. As a result, computers have become ideal for the educational environment and according to Dretzin and Ruskoff when they analyzed a school in New York that had no computers, students did poorly in test scores. But once the school decided to use computers to keep students engaged in their class work, the school greatly increased their test scores and kept the students in school long enough to graduate.…
