Teachers are trusted with one of the most important jobs in America. Parents send their children to school so that they can receive a proper education and decide what they want to be in the future. Many teachers go above and beyond to help their students with school work, but there are some teachers who are there just to receive a check. These teachers should be eliminated from the school system by allowing students to evaluate them. Students should be allowed to grade their teachers because their teaching methods should be effective, because their attitudes affect students, and because the amount of time spent teaching is important. In fact, teachers have many different teaching methods. They may teach using a powerpoint, they may use handouts, or they may just verbally lecture. Although teachers use these methods to teach, they may not teach them effectively. For example, a teacher may pass out a handout and then quiz the students without explaining the material. They may teach from a powerpoint and read exactly what is on the powerpoint, failing to elaborate on the material. Teachers should have a positive attitude when going over material and answering questions; students feel more comfortable and are less afraid to ask questions. If a teacher presents an I do not care attitude, the students may feel discouraged to learn the material. Teachers with a sarcastic attitude also give off bad vibes that can often start an argument; this dilemma can take up class time, which leads to students not receiving the information. Teachers should be motivators and willing to help when help is needed. Students love teachers who have a positive attitude and like to have fun; it makes it easier to learn and gives the student something to look forward
