Should Sikh children be allowed to wear a kirpan in school or not?
FOR-Sikh
Many Sikhs would say yes because it is a part of their religion. And it is not just that reason. They argue that if they are allowed to wear the other 4 ks, why not be allowed to wear the 5th. Many other people would argue against it because it’s a knife in general, but they say it will not be used it is simply there for their beliefs. Just because as Sikh has the kirpan knife on them doesn’t mean they will even get it out.
Against-Sikh
Despite that they are Sikh and it’s their own religion, allot of Sikhs would still argue that they shouldn’t bring it in. One of the reasons is that they do not fully understand what it means and what it is used for, there for they would not weir it. Another reason being that they don’t have to bring a knife in to show that they are a part of their religion; they could wear a badge instead. This would show everyone that they are Sikhs without the hassle of bringing a knife. For-non Sikh
Non Sikhs that would argue for it being allowed would usually say if its apart of their religion, let them wear it. They also might argue that it is not sharp another to hurt anyone unless used with allot of force. And they say that Sikhs would not even get it out for it to be used. As well as not being used it is also not noticeable to anyone as it is usually hidden away under their cloths.
Against-non Sikh
Non Sikhs could argue that it is bad for Sikhs to bring a kirpan in because it could scare other people. It could also be stolen and then used. Non Sikhs could argue that if Sikhs get to bring knives in for protection other people could start bringing in knives too. They also think that in schools there is a rule that no knives must be brought into school no matter what, a kirpan is a knife
Personal opinion
I personally think that the kirpan should not be brought into school because it is a knife and knifes are not allowed in school. If they want to respect their

Some schools in America give in to the students, but not in Singapore. Firstly, we all have a right to individuality, to make personal choices and to express our personality. This right of free expression includes the…

Schools claim that uniforms make every student equal. But, what schools aren’t taking in to consideration is the large amount of students who want to be looked at as an individual…

suppose I’m a farmer prude, but I think the way children dress these days is sad. I’ve seen first graders that look like little hookers. Teenage girls that look like professional hookers. Boys that let their butts hang out over the back of their jeans – what is that message? (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to grab the back of some low hanging jeans and pull them up hard enough to give a painful wedgie.) Every generation of children/teens has its problems and issues, but the clothing…

As Lahey explained, giving a chance to children to play freely without being guarded and told what to do is really good.
