Should School Uniforms Be Mandatory In The United States?

Many people wonder what it would be like if their school had a uniform policy. Research shows that only one in five United States public schools have a uniform policy that was recorded in 2013-2014 school year (ProCon.org). A school uniform is worn by all students that the school requires them to wear every day. The purpose of a uniform is to make the school safer, more unified and to create less distraction. School Uniforms should not be allowed in schools in the United States because they limit students freedom of expression, are costly, and they negatively impact the learning environment.
