Should professional athletes be required to take a drug test? Drugs affect everybody in certain ways. They can really mess with you mind and body. Depending on the drug, some can have lifelong implications. They can especially have a lifelong implication if used by teens that are still growing. If teens take drugs, they can really get hurt physically and mentally. Not only will they get hurt, they could get caught, and then their life will pretty much be thrown away and won the able to get good jobs and live as successful life. Professional athletes should be required to take a drug test because drugs can have a negative affect on how they play. Athletes should be required to take a drug test, because drugs are illegal. The reason that professional athletes should take a drug test is because drugs are illegal, taking drugs is considered cheating, and while on drugs, it is very unhealthy to you, your body, and your brain. If athletes who are in physical sports take drugs, such as steroids, that make them bigger, it would be very unfair to the other athletes and to the sport in which they are playing in. Not only is it unfair to the other athletes and to the sport, it is very unfair for the sports fans that love to watch the sport. If someone is two times as big as everybody else in the sport, they fans would get bored of one single person dominating in the sport and end up quit watching the sport. If that happened, then the sport wouldn't be making money, and if that happened, they would be able to show or play the sport. Drugs are illegal because they do not give any real benefits other then making the body feel good. It actually ends up the body feeling worse because it destroys parts of your body and can end up killing you. Reading this paper will give you information on why professional athletes should be required to take a drug test. Professional athletes should be required to take a drug test because drugs can have a negative affect on how they play. Taking drugs while playing a sport can end up hurting you and/or other athletes. People who was and love a sport want to watch it as a fair, fun and entertaining sport, not an unfair lousy
