Why Parents Should Take Their Teens to Warped Tour

Should parents take teens to Warped Tour? I believe that parents should take their teens to Warped Tour. I understand that not all parents will not agree for many reasons.

Deciding to take your teen to warped tour is a very hard decision to make. You have endless amount of questions with no answers, Will it be dangerous, Will there be drunk people, What will my friends think, ect. The only way to find out all the answers to your questions is to take your teen to warped tour. The idea of taking your “little baby” to a music festival like warped tour is terrifying, but the outcome of taking your teen to warped tour will be beyond rewarding. You’ll be able to spend 11+ hours with your kid, get to see what makes your child happy, get to feel like a teen again. If you’re worried that your kid will smell something “funky” it’ll be a great time for a teachable moment between you and your child, as much as every parents wants to hide all the bad thing in the world from their child, it’s best if they find out by you instead of on the street.

There’s many activities you can do with your kid besides listening to music like custom cutting your shirt, a water slide to beat the heat, lots of non-profit tents to check out.     The birth of Warped Tour happened in 1994, the founder being Kevin Lyman. The first lineup for the festival consisted of only nineteen bands. This may seem like a lot to someone who has never attended the tour, or a festival like it, but when compared to 104 bands playing in this year's (2012) lineup, 19 bands is a miniscule amount.     Music is important for many people; it often enhances their lives and gives them something to look forward too. Music can also bring different groups of people together and friendships can grow. In 3rd grade, I started listening to bands such as My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, and Blink-182 because my older brother was listening to them at that time.     The night was perfect and the crowd was friendly with a diverse group of all ages old and young. Crowds of people filled the parking lot with sounds of Kid Rock blasting through car speakers and people enjoying their pre-show cocktails. Outside the venue Kid's cars were roped off for fans to check out and take photos.
