American’s go to war with drugs daily, from life threatening substances such as alcohol and tobacco to beneficiary marijuana. Marijuana has been seen as a “safe” drug to use with no serious side effects or any type of out of control addictions like cocaine, crack and heroin to some people. Marijuana should be legalized for its legitimate medical effects, benefits for the government and reduce of exposure to other drugs in the illegal market. The fact that marijuana has been illegal makes it very difficult for people to accept the fact that it is able to help individuals medically. Many americans that are suffering from poor health could be using this drug to help. Marijuana could be used to help with pain, nausea and many more symptoms and simply allow people to relax themselves on a normal basis. It could open up jail spots, marijuana users take up far more space then any other crime. Legalizing marijuana could help out our government tremendously. With marijuana being illegal one has to go through a drug dealer who also sells hard core drugs. By legalizing marijuana, it would be sold in a store the legal and correct way keeping kids away from other drugs that dealers have to offer. Not only would it get kids away from hard core drugs but away from becoming a part of that business and from kids selling altogether. Legalized or not marijuana is always going to be sold, so it might as well be sold legally.If laws were changed and sold legally it would keep kids from going on that path and being away from the hardcore drugs. All in all, marijuana should be legalized. There is too much good to come from this legalization for the government not to change it. Marijuana can help this country out money wise as well as health. The legalization of marijuana should be effective immediately due to the medical help, improved government and exclusion of hardcore
