Should Lunch Be Longer By Mackenzie Carro: Article Analysis
The issue expressed in the article, “Should Lunch Be Longer”, written by Mackenzie Carro, states that lunch in numerous places needs to be prolonged. Being tired in class is one of the reasons students don’t pay attention and have grades below average. Another piece of evidence is that lunch is the time most incidents and drama happen. If there is more time added onto lunch, behavioral issues could possibly increase by a lot. If a lot of things happen during lunch, then what do you think would happen if lunch was extended? People getting involved in drama and things such as that, it could simply take a students’ mind off of school and what is going on. This could, without a doubt, bring down grades and have students miss crucial information that they might need for future assignments, and/or work. One last piece of evidence is that if we made lunch longer, it would affect the schedule. Class time would have to be altered along with lunch. Some students' parents/guardians might not be able to pick up their student on time, and they would have to find an alternative. While this might be the case, other parents/guardians might not be home on time if their student took the bus. A lot of parents/guardians are concerned about leaving their student’s home
