Should High School Sports be Taken Away? High School is said to be one of the key steps of your life, from prom night, to that day you finally move out, or even when your schools team won the big game. When you think about that time you spent in high school, do you want to remember studying all the time or do you want to remember the great time you spent with friends? High School should be something to be remembered, not just another boring school. The different sports that your school is involved in, are key to your school’s success. From the great memories, to the positive behavior. Sports help, not only to show your school pride, but to bring everyone together, not as a gang, or a class, or even a team, but as a school. Sports provide the courage, discipline, and experience needed so that you may not only get that job, but exceed in it. In High School you are a child, soon after you are an adult; you can enjoy your years as a child, or go straight to being an adult. But, more than 50% of the adults that I know of, regret that they didn’t do more with their lives as children. Sports are your opportunity to branch out and enjoy life, while getting the proper experience needed to get the job of your dreams. Some people, may argue that the United States is the only country where students attend sports in school; so we should get rid of it like everyone else. But, what they don’t realize is that the United States, is its own country, we can set the norm for other countries to follow. Foreign exchange students attend our schools, and are surprised to see sports programs within the school, because they never got that chance. Schools can be a fun place for you to learn and associate with others, and sports are the perfect way to do
