Should Guns Be Allowed On Campus Essay
The author’s view is that Guns when legally carried should be permitted on campus. He largely holds these views because of the lower risk of rape or other violent crime. In this article he uses the story of Amanda Collins who has a concealed carry permit and was unable to defend herself from rape. He also lists some studies that he believes prove that allowing guns on campus greatly lowers the defendants chance of being injured or killed. Specifically, he lists a study done by Gray Kleck, that states only 26 of 200 people used a gun to defend themselves from rape in all 26 cases preventing the
