Should College Football Players Get Paid? Should college football players get paid? College football players should get paid because they don't get a lot of time to work outside of football and to help support family. The first reason I think college football players should get paid is that they spend more at football than an average job. An average hours for a job is 33.3 hours a week. For football you spend an average of 43 hours a week (Forbes). It is a lot harder for football players to maintain good grades because they miss a lot classes. Another reason is that they get revenue from sports. NCAA receives $11 billion. The colleges get there money from the sport industries. Texas gets there money from selling merchandise and selling
