We want to Cancun, Mexico. The very first day we flew into Cancun, Mexico on the American Airlines. We stayed at the Paradisus Cancun. The total cost of the flight and hotel all together was $648. Our hotel is so cool it has free wifi, free food, and a pool. The first night we went there we went and ate at The 5 senses it is a popular tourist spot because it has, live music and a club next door. On the second day we were in Cancun, Mexico we got up early to go snorkeling in the ocean. We went out with Scuba Diving Cancun company, a really good company for taking snorkeling trips. Chaco Canyon is located in northwestern New Mexico. Around 700 they started building rectangular houses above the ground. There was higher rainfall and higher groundwater levels and this caused an increase in population. What was so remarkable about this period was the Chaco phenomenon, which is the construction of fourteen Great houses in Chaco Canyon. These houses were multistory, and made from stone-and-timber pueblos. One of the houses, known as Pueblo Bonito, had more than six hundred rooms, forty ritual enclosures and it was as high as five stories. Imagine being stripped away from everything you knew: your childhood friends; cousins you thought you'd always have with you, and places you called your second, third, or even fourth home. That is exactly what I went through when my family decided to move to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Benjamin Franklin once stated that “Lost time is never found again”, the short story “The Cactus” is about a man named Trysdale, who allows his “vanity and conceit” (O. Henry “The Cactus” paragraph six) get in the way of his relationship with a girl that adores him. He fails to find meaning behind a cactus that she gave him in response to his proposal. Instead of knowing the cactus’ importance, which she thought he did, he instead is very prideful while waiting for her to make her answer clear. His pride turns out to be his worst enemy and only after her marriage to another does he find out that the cactus’ name “Ventomarme” translates to “come and take me” (O. Henry “The Cactus”).
