Short Story: Nico Roache
Nico Roache woke up behind bars. He didn’t know how he ended there.
“Hello. Is anyone there?” said Nico as he got out of his bed. His legs gave out from under him, and he landed back on the bed because of a horrible pain coming from the back of his head. An angry cop walked through a door outside his cell.
“What do you want?” said the cop with annoyance in his voice.
“Why am I locked up?”
“Because we found you at a bank that got robbed with a gun laying beside you last night. Now shut up because it’s three in the morning and I’d rather be sleeping than dealing with you right now.” said the cop as he walked back through the doorway and shut the door. Nico couldn’t remember anything from the last week. His head hurt too much to try to think about it so he went to sleep.

“Do you know who Nico Roache is?” asked Fred.
“Yeah, I think he lived in the building, but I’m not sure if he was there last night.”
Fred left in a hurry to get to the police station and talk to Nico. When he got there, he went straight to Nico’s cell.
“Nico, I want you to think really hard about this. Is there anyone you know who would be able and wants to rob a bank and frame you?” A lot of people didn’t like Nico but there were only two who hated him enough to send him to jail for life.
“Garry Irving and Homer Carpenter, but I know Homer is into guns.” said Nico with some hope of getting out. Fred looked up Homer’s address and drove as fast as he could there. Homerlived in the mountains in a cabin by himself. When Fred got there, Homer opened the door and Fred told him that he needed to search his house. Fred looked around and found a bag full of money.
“Homer you’re under arrest.”
“I swear I have no idea how that got

At 4am dispatch received a call from the resident at 137 West Alexander Drive, who claimed to have heard a scream from his neighbours house. Captain Jason Long turned the case over to Officer Brice Tyler, Officer Lily Rayne, and I. At approximately 4:30am we arrived at the house knocking on the door. The young man answered with a smile on his face. I had noted that he seemed wide awake, as if he had been up for some time, as he invited us inside. We told him of our cause of being there, and he immediately told us the old man was visiting his sister in another town. He did not give us more details. instead, he showed us that the old mans belongings were exactly in there proper place. Afterward, he asked us to sit down in the bedroom, chatting easily about his evening. Soon after, he seemed to become agitated, raising his voice and speaking angrily. He was soon pacing and hitting the table, threatening us to make us stop agonising him, even though we did not say a threatening word to him.…
