His brothers laughed and laughed, but Jacob pondered all these dreams in his heart because he feared God.

Jacob said,“I will send you to the place where your brothers are tending to the sheep and goats. I know that my sons, except you, are lazy and hardly have an interest in their work. I want you to visit them and give them their midday lunch. Now, take your staff and get the lunches from your mother and place them in a basket.”

Esau is described as already having a mass of red hair on his body, a description that alludes to him being more of a working man, which in turn explains why Isaac favors him more, because he “was fond of game” (Gen. 25:28). This action could suggest that even at his earliest age Jacob is always trying to hinder Esau’s success and good fortune for being the elder son. Jacob is described as a quieter man than his brother, and may have also hid his intellectual superiority over his…

The school bell rang, I knew it was time. I followed the signs that read, “Red Cross Blood Drive” with a bold arrow pointing to our school gym. As I stepped through the door the cool breeze hit me, and chills spread through my body; I was shivering and I wondered if it was because I was cold or just nervous.
