1. List the four sub-disciplines of anthropology and describe the contribution of each discipline to the study of human relations. The four sub-disciplines of anthropology are: Cultural Anthropology, Archaeology, Biological Anthropology and Linguistics.

Cultural Pluralism is a condition in which many cultures coexist within a society and maintain their cultural differences. Ethnocentrism is the belief that one’s religion, group, country, etc. is superior to all other. Everyone has experienced ethnocentrism at some point in their lives, for instance someone criticizing another individual because they are of opposite religion. As I learnt from my previous class ethnocentrism says “My” culture is superior and all other is inferior.

An example of this can be seen through many groups of people such as, the KKK, they felt white power was the only power and all others were nothing. They not only judged by a person’s color, but judge on religion and ethnicity. (History in Middle School 1985-1986)
