In keeping with original exterior body style of this American icon, the redesign captures the curvature with subtle softening of the contour. The front end design integrity has been protected by keeping the original round headlights inset into the grill. The integrity was also well maintained in providing the same style of tail light to match that of the older counterpart. Another aspect that has held the integrity of the original 1960’s model is performance. The performance of the 6.4 liter 470 horsepower 2010 model still provides the sought after horsepower of 1960’s model. This model also provides maximum acceleration in keeping with the older counterpart. In today’s times, the 2010 provides that same stigma as the older counterpart as the muscle care of this day and…

M969 5,000-Gallon Semitrailer. The M969 5000-gallon semitrailer is a fuel dispensing semitrailer used primarily for refueling ground vehicles. The M969 has the same bulk delivery and self load capabilities as the M967. It has a 5000-gallon capacity and weighs 15,000 pounds empty and 48,950 pounds full. The M969 has the same dimensions and can be towed and transported in the same manner as the M967 tank semitrailer. The tank body and auxiliary engine and pump assembly are identical to that of the M967. TM 9-2320-356-12&P gives detailed information on this tank semitrailer. In addition to the equipment included with the M967, the M969 includes equipment required for automotive refueling and limited aircraft refueling. This equipment is mounted on the sides of the vehicles. There is a filter/separator, pump and engine compartment, engine fuel tank, landing gear crank, and landing gear ground board on the curbside of the vehicle. There is also an emergency valve shutoff, hose trough, and battery compartment for two batteries on the curbside of the vehicle. There is a hose trough, portable grounding rod, landing gear ground board, toolbox, control panel, manifold assembly, and hose reel cabinet on the roadside of the vehicle. The filter/separator is rated at 300 GPM and 15 psi. It has three filtering stages. In the first stage, 15-filter elements remove solid particles and coalesce any water in the fuel. In the second stage, five canisters separate the water from the fuel and let it drain into the filter/separator sump. Finally, 15 go/no go fuses act as safety devices to shut off the flow of fuel if the other two stages allow water to exceed a safe level. Three of these fuses are in each of the second stage elements. Other parts of the filter/separator include an automatic drain valve, a manual drain valve, and a pressure gage. When water in the filter sump reaches a certain level, the water is removed by the automatic drain valve. This valve is operated by a…

Early proponents of the jet engine claimed that these new engines could operate on any fuel from whiskey to peanut butter. Although jet engines are much more tolerant than gasoline and diesel engines, the aircraft and engine fuel system are sensitive to the chemical and physical properties of the fuel. Early advances in engine and aircraft design greatly expanded the flight envelope which necessitated new standards for turbine engine fuel quality. This led to the introduction of a variety of fuel types for different purposes and to the development of specifications to ensure the fuel met equipment requirements under all flight conditions. The decision to avoid the home-center channel was an appropriate decision for Stihl Incorporated (Stihl). Stihl’s product line consists of a high quality line of outdoor power equipment: chain saws, edgers, string trimmers, brush cutters, blowers, vacuums, mulchers, and sprayers. In order to differentiate Stihl’s high quality products from its competitors (satisfying buyer requirements), the selected intermediary or channel representative needed to provide the appropriate education on proper product operation, maintenance, and overall performance compared to competitive brands (information). As a quality orientated manufacturer, Stihl requires that it’s products be sold with the appropriate buying support, and after sales support. A customer that purchases a Stihl product from a retailer should be able to have that product maintained, serviced, and repaired by that retailer (channel representative). By sticking with independently owned specialty dealers and hardware stores, Stihl was able to fulfill it’s own requirements to assure buyer satisfaction.…
