She's Parody: A Short Story
There is a body in the lake
Where there wasn't one before

She tried to tell someone
But even with the blood on her hands no one believed her

"She's to young to understand what she's saying" they said
"She's just doing it for attention" said another

"BUT THERE IS A BODY"
She screamed at them
"And I'm the one that put it there"
She whispered too soft to hear

So she did the only thing she could do to prove it
She took them to the lake

"I don't see anything" they said
"She doesn't know what she's talking about" said another

So they all stared into the lake but even with the dead eyes staring back at them no one believed her

So with a defeated yet sadistic smile on her face she did the only thing she could do to prove it
...
She slit their

Stephane Crane wrote the book “Red Badge of Courage,” in the year of 1895, and a lot of critics have reviewed his work. Over the years the critics have been agreeing and disagreeing about this little book that told a story of a young solider in the civil war, and his experiences of the war itself. Some people think that it is one of the greatest works of its time period, but others think that it has some problems along with it. Every critic gives their opinion on what they believe is going on in the story, but not everyone always agree with what they are trying to prove.…

Linnea Saukko wrote the piece “How to Poison the Earth”. The piece is a satire. A satire is the use of humorous, ironic, and exaggerative speech or writing to bring light to politics and other topical issues. Plenty of the nightly shows have adapted to this format. This format allows a speaker/writer to create a persona that mirrors them. This mirror persona is so amplified that the audience comes to the realization “on their own” that they hate this persona. The readers will take this and hate the speaker/writer’s allies. Saukko’s satire contains strong traces of sarcasm, facts, and a form of emotional appeal to create her argument.…

Epic similes are literary comparisons meant to distract the reader from the story. In The Odyssey, the author Homer uses epic similes to detract the reader from the brutality present in battle. These similes demonstrate the festal and barbaric qualities that men adopt when they are in battle and often compare warriors to majestic animals, like lions, attacking prey.…

Many would say I am absolutely insane, but I am a rare individual who unforntuanately did not listen to the Beatles growing up. After watching A Hard Day's Night, I instantly fell in awe and definiely understand how one would have Bealtmania. The charm, humor, and shaggy hair cuts instantly drew me in. I felt as if I were a British teenage girl living in the 1960s and wildy chasing my beloved boyband crush. The movie is full of Rock n' Roll musical outbreaks, innocent fun, and a very clean and nice old man. A Hard Day's Night seems to mimic and portray as a documentary but instead is wonderful comedy that displays what a typical day would be like for the Fab Four.…

How does one measure beauty? Is it measured by the depth of an individual’s personality, or perhaps by the goodness of a person’s heart? Of course that would entail actually having to interact with someone longer than the casual glance and judge routine we have spent generations mastering. No matter how twisted, cracked, and deformed a person’s soul may be doesn’t matter, as long as they have enough cosmetics to cake on and can afford some minor surgery that is. In today’s society we measure beauty through what we see and what we are told is beautiful, because deciding on our own would just be too difficult. Thankfully we have the influence of things like television and celebrities to guide the way into the glamorous world of beautiful people. Because who cares if the majority of your beauty could be removed with a moist tissue and you haven’t seen food in a week as long as you look pretty.…

Have you ever heard someone earning there livelihood by selling there surrows or let me say shedding a few drops of it. Sounds weird..Ryt? trust me it is! The torn pages of the ancient books never seizes to amaze/intrigue me with new words and the way these words turned the lives of the women in 360 degrees direction. Isn’t it old news now, I mean according to the powerful sections of the society, women were supposed to participate in each and every game that was build to expose there physical as well as mental sadness. As far as I have encountered its insight when a women can be forced to sell her beautiful nakedness to experience pain and to pleasure others then its pretty much easy for us to change them into another mocking exhibition under…
