Communicating is very important in my setting and is a major aspect of my work. When working with children clear communication is needed this could be verbally or using sign language, flash cards or through play. Communication helps to build positive relationships with the children and their family's. Communicating with parents/carers is vital, parents/carers know the children better than anyone and can give us valuable information regarding the child's like and dislikes, dietary requirements, special needs and cultural beliefs this will help us meet the child's needs.
