    Whites and people of color never got along in earlier years, whites want to be separated between people from color of people but colored people are standing up for theirself in America. Later in the U.s made a lot of changes by using the executive orders to integrate blacks to work together. Later in 1954 Thurgood Marshall wanted to overturned the the “separate but equal” by standing up to integrate people of color into public schooling.     As African Americans in the 1900s where affected by the passing of the 13th 14th 15th amendment which freed the slaves and gave anyone the right to a us citizen if born in the us and the 15th gave blacks the right to vote.     The issues that King and others in the Civil Rights Movement faced in 1963 were sever. Unemployment was extremely high for black Americans and even though 100 years had passed since the Emancipation Proclamation, segregation and discrimination against black Americans continued throughout many parts of the nation.
