Shalimar Paints are the oldest and one of the most well-known paint manufacturing companies in India with the first manufacturing facility being set up in 1902 in Howrah, Kolkatta. They are one of the leading paints manufacturing companies of India.

Vision: Shalimar Paint’s vision is to become one of the leading paint manufacturing companies of the country, a leader in product innovation and customer satisfaction. Shalimar intends to build long term value relationships with all its suppliers and customers.

Mission: The Company's mission is to maximize returns of each stakeholder in the Company be it customers, shareholders, suppliers or employees and become a socially responsible global Corporate Citizen. Shalimar Paints have 3 manufacturing plants at Howrah, Sikandrabad and Nasik with a total installed capacity of 57,000 tonnes p.a. (FY10)

Key players in the organized sector are Asian Paints, Kansai Nerolac, Berger Paints, Akzo Nobel and Shalimar Paints –they account for ~80% of the organized market
