The type of sexual dysfunction that I chose to talk about is orgasmic disorder. Orgasmic disorders can affect both male and female. This simply means that either the male or female has trouble reaching orgasm or cannot reach orgasm at all. However this disorder is more common in women than men.
Factors that may cause this dysfunction may be there is not enough clitoral stimulation during intercourse to build up to have an orgasm. Women trying too hard to reach or have an orgasm may find it impossible to do so. Alcohol may impair a woman’s ability to have an orgasm. Other factors could include sexual guilt, emotional factors, or performance anxiety, vascular and nervous disorders could also cause a woman no to lubricate or reach orgasm.
One reason I found out personally was that certain drugs may cause a woman not to lubricate or not to be able to have an orgasm. I was changing depression medication. The one she had changed me to really made me unable to lubricate naturally and I could not reach orgasm. At first I thought there was something wrong with me. Then the more I thought about it I got to thinking maybe them medication was doing it. So I was then reading the side effects and sure enough that was one of the many side effects. Well needless to say I stopped taking the medication and called the doctor. I believe this would also include prescription drugs and street drugs for some women.
Treatments that may help individuals (male and female) who experience this type of dysfunction could be to change medication if that is the problem. Maybe seek help from a sex therapist could help both male and female. Self-exploration and self- massage may help with reaching orgasm too. The male needs to focus more on increasing sexual stimulation and reduce performance anxiety. Help from a sex therapist may also help the male as
