Selfishness In George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'

The greatest flaw people have is selfishness because when people are selfish, they don’t acknowledge the suffering of others. A selfish person is someone who “only think[s] about what[‘s] in it for them” but not how it is affecting other people (Cooper). When someone acts selfishly, they take what they want, and don’t see what they are taking from others. When people don’t acknowledge their selfishness they can hurt people in order to get what they want. In Animal Farm, the pigs are eating all the apples and milk, and all the other animals don’t get to eat them.
