Self Reliance Rhetorical Analysis

Ralph Waldo Emerson was a poet in the 1800’s, he is the author of “Self-Reliance.” In “Self-Reliance” Emerson writes about being yourself and not letting the world change who you are. His purpose for this essay was to tell the readers to follow their instinct and own ideas. Emerson builds an argument in “Self-Reliance” to persuades his audience to always be true to themselves and just to be who God made you.
