Self Portrait Project

The artwork I made for this self portrait project incorporates two approaches of both collage and drawing. It shows a composition of these massive figures of me. And each of them is making a different gestures. Composition is one of the most powerful elements that contribute to build my piece. This is an asymmetrical composition because it has similar visual weights in two sides. Figures in both two sides are filled with decorate tapes, each of them has different pattern. They all come together and create a sense of harmony in entire drawing. The overall composition is arranged in a horizontal view. A large figure placed in center is the focal point, because it only has a black outline but no color painted in it. Made this figure stands out first in the image. I also used a variety of colors in this drawing. Mostly light colors, I had worked with a few of the figures in pure colors; it has red on the
They are emphasized individually for having various pattens or movements. Especially the movements, help to understand my experiences. I am laying on the ground, I am jumping from a higher place; I am running with my two arms swinging. Each of them represents the real me, and these actions caught a moment in my life. Personally speaking, I would consider that I made my artistic identity sort of clear. As I mentioned in part 2, light colors and vivid gestures contribute to pleasure the viewers. So there is a linking relationship between me and the artwork. I am an optimist, having an optimistic view of events, always maintain a joyful mood.Also I am an energetic person, full of energy. These characteristics are successfully expressed with an application of warm colour. The gestures are expressive on telling a story about me. Similar to body languages that produce visual communication with
