Leadership skills can be used anywhere where you are required to take the lead, professionally socially, or at home with your family and friends. Leaders become leaders because of their reliability, capability and because people want to follow them. Leaders are those people who get things done because they want to; they take the lead in things and make it easier for others. They usually are people who are collected, composed and can think strategically.
1. How did you realize it was your strength or weakness? 2. Examples from the past when you had a chance to apply your skill and realize it was a strong or weak point.
I was always a leader in my class and I had to sort a lot of things out between my group of friends. I'd never actually realized that I was a leader because my leadership qualities were (not boasting here) instinctive, and came naturally to me. I became aware that I owned leadership qualities when my friends told me that I'm good at being a leader and that I'm always listening to what they've got to say… Leaders are required to have qualities such as being good listeners, being open minded and accept that everyone has a right of having their own point of view.
Also, leaders should be able to work under stress, and should not panic when needing to make onthespot decisions in risky situations. They should also be unbiased, and not make favourites in the group they are leading. For example, when I was a team captain for sports, I had to choose my players from a large number of girls, and also decide their positions during the match. So I had to watch each girl play, and after selecting my team, I had to listen to what they thought of the positioning, and then come to a conclusion on my own.
A summary of leader is one who sets a goal, and then leads their team or organization towards that goal successfully.

3. How can you enhance the skill further?
A good way to develop your skills is to take on extra projects outside of your job description and to put yourself in such positions which require you to exercise your leadership skills, such as communication, presentation, listening etc
Being a leader enables you to see how a wide range of people think; their points of view and their ideas all enhance your own knowledge and worldview.
Another challenge you can take up to become a good leader is organizing functions and events within the family, which will require you to plan, give time, deal with many people, be
flexible to accommodate their ideas and will help you to also learn to manage your time with these extra activities that you are involved in.
An advantage of this is if for example your family faces a problem and no one is in the state to do anything, they they can rely on you to take the lead and people can trust that you won't mess up and become nonfunctional because of stress.
Being a leader also teaches you to control your emotions and makes you able to think in the midst of problems. Being a leader means you're responsible and are ready to fulfill people’s needs. Being a leader is also a very self motivating and feelgood job,hence it is a great way to prove yourself, to yourself!
4. As a community how can we raise awareness of this skill?
We all know that for anything to work right without any chaos and to be executed smoothly you need a leader. Therefore, every community should have a fee persons who are skilled and have the qualities of a leader. They should be somewhat headstrong, yet compromising, ...
