The first part of self assessing me was pretty important because it was a sum of my whole lifestyle in one. Giving me an overall look on what I should change or if I should even change any of my habits. My smoking score was a perfect 10, which was not surprising at all to me. My alcohol/drug score for this was seven points because I do drink. The score for my eating and exercising habits were perfect because I do a good job when it comes to eating right and working out on a daily. My stress control score was an eight, but I do understand why. I do know that I stress to some extent. My last score was safety and the score for that was a nine. I think my life is pretty amazing if you ask me.…
CLST100 Professor: Dina L. Jones 4/6/2014 I have always found it interesting how everyone can have a different learning style. It does not mean that one person is smarter than the other, and vice versa. Everyone is completely different with how they intake information and their learning skills. My best learning skill is Kinesthetic I am more a “hands on” learner. I have always been more successful and learned better once I actually did something hands on. I can learn verbally, and visual as well but that is my best learning technique.…

After completing the self assessment tool for self care, it was clear that I am lacking in many areas. With the aid of the assessment tool I was able to recognize that my strengths are in my emotional self care and professional self care. I must say that with these areas of strengths for me, I am elated. I like to think that I give a lot of myself when I am caring for others such as my patients and family. However, the areas that I need improvement on are for me.…

A strength that I learned stated on the Myers-Briggs assessment is that I am an innovative thinker and excellent problem solver. I find this to be true because whether it is conflict at home, school, work, within myself, or with another individual, I’ve always been able to smooth out differences. Working as a supervisor for a high-end commission-based retail store conflicts occasionally arise. I’ve learned to develop reflective-awareness where I consider my behavior as I observe it. (Arkoff)…
Assessing Learning Peer and Self Assessment Peer Assessment One of the ways in which students internalize the characteristics of quality work is by evaluating the work of their peers. However, if they are to offer helpful feedback, students must have a clear understanding of what they are to look for in their peers' work. The instructor must explain expectations clearly to them before they begin.…
Leadership Resilience Leadership resilience is easily recognized in so many situations I learned from my score that I am “a moderately resilient person” (Allison-Napolitano and Pesult, 2015, p.14) and “fairly confident” (Allison-Napolitano and Pesult, 2015, p.14) in my abilities. I realized that I am very comfortable in handling crisis at work and in leading and directing staff through stressful situations. I am confident in instructing staff on patient care, documentation, regulations, encouragement, dealing with difficult patients, how to improve their organizational skills, how to achieve their professional goals, and looking at things from an employee perspective. I found that I am very confident in meeting with peers and those that I report to. An area where I see an opportunity to grow is in handling personal criticism and people that are indifferent towards me. I like everyone and can usually find some glimmer of positive appreciation for them. I truly care about those around me and struggle when people are clearly rude and hurtful toward me. I am ok with others not agreeing with me or choosing another colleagues design over mind, but people that misinterpret my intensions or form a dislike for me following a ruling that I make, stays with me and hurts. I appreciated the teaching and guidance from the lecture this week, regarding not taking things personally and learning from the…
Personal Development Plan During the course of taking the Human Relations in Admin class we took quite a bit of time to not only learn out the aspects of working with and leading people, but we also look at ourselves. What are my personal strengths and weakness? Where can I improve as both as a professional and a student? That look has truly lead me to think seriously about what I need to do to improve myself. This will be illustrated through looking at the analysis we did our throughout the class, and taking what was learned and applying to future goals.…
Self-Assessment sexual and Relational Health I grew up in a single parent household, which in my case the single parent who raised me was my mother. Growing up with my mother rather than father or both my parent definitely had a great impact on how I personally and psychologically defined myself. My mother taught me “lady like” behaviors from a very young age. I remember my first experience being when I was four years old and I was sitting outside on my step and remember wearing a “girly dress” with flowers and in different shades of pink and purple. I was sitting outside and my mother joined me and said to me “ that is not how young ladies sit, cross your legs”. I was simply sitting what for me was normal, but now I was introduced to the…
First my strengths from the report showed that I am aware of my own strengths and weaknesses and able to perceive others emotions well. While this result isn’t overall that surprising I then noticed I scored low in the areas of Emotional Identification, Perception, and Expression and Emotional Management. After studying the results further I discovered that although I can interpret my own and others emotions well I struggle at dealing with emotional situations overall which is a very accurate statement of my personality as I have always shied away from approaching emotional situations both in my personal and work life. I think that this assessment has shown me that I need to be more assertive, also one of my weaknesses, and not be timid about using my gut instincts which typically are correct about emotions and become more vocal in emotional situations. Both the emotional intelligence and MBTI reports have shown that my weakness lies in not using my emotional understanding to solve problems and that I rely on my analysis and details too…
Although the assessment demonstrates accurate results in reflection to my personality traits and character, I was skeptical at first. My line of thought immediately jumped to the lack of weaknesses addressed in the survey, which I believed critical to…
In my emotional intelligence test there were four sections. The sections were self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. The areas listed are crucial to success in all areas of out lives. The areas that I did poorly in I need to make improvements, as quickly as I possibly can. Other areas that I scored well in I could also look for ways to become better.…
Initially, I felt a struggle to answer this question “correctly”. I felt as though I would answer it the wrong way even though this was an irrational belief because there is no wrong answer. As I mentioned, in class I wrote friendly, creative, emotional, helpful, and nice. I believe these can all be put into a similar cluster. These are things that for the most part I think are positive aspects of myself and what I like to think are a part of being a humanistic type of person. As we discussed more I created a sixth word, which was survivor (just as Saba mentioned during our discussion). This sixth word was relieving for me because as hard as it is to say I have survived a lot of trauma in my own past. In the past I may have wanted to label…
