How Stressful Is My Life?
In this self-assessment I scored 155, which is only 5 points above the limit for being a low-susceptibility to stress-illnesses or injuries person. I found this self-assessment very interesting, I could see a couple of good things and bad things, and luckily I had more good life events than bad events in the past years. Life changes could play a very important role in your life, it can affect you in either bad or good, it depends on how good or bad was the life event. In the last year I had a nephew, and that life event have changed my life, keeps me motivated to play soccer, go to school and even be a better person, but also I had to

I got my confidence back that I needed to become the person I once was. This experienced helped me learn to always work hard and to never give up on myself. I also learned that when there is bad, there will be good. That when you believe it would be better to end everything, that it always turns around and makes you a stronger person. I also learned that everyone should love their body. That everyone should take care and treasure their body that they were born in. This has made me a better student. Changing my views on my self worth and talent I have in school. It has make me work harder for what I want. Taught me to never give up on myself. The Holmes-Rahe Stress Life Inventory checklist is a list of events that have a big impacted that are related to my life. While doing the research of stress, I found interesting about this is that the mean value points worth a lot. According to my result from the checklist, I have a lot of personal events has happened over the past year. My life is really stressful and this shows that I do not know how to manage my stress that well. I found surprising that vacation would be part of stress; instead I thought vacation would be part of a stress reliever. I am more surprised that I have over 300 value points because when I first glanced at it, I thought I would have between 150-300 points. Just this year, I have graduated high school and moved…

By doing this self-assessment I learned about my strengths. I was aware that I accept full responsibility for my actions and results of my life. Since I was a little girl, my mother bestowed in me that, “Life is nothing but the result of the choices you make.” I know that my destiny is counting on me. I know what motivates me and what choices hinder my success. Choosing between the two is the challenge; I call that self-warfare. I believed that I scored high in: accepting personal responsibility, discovering self-motivation, and adopting lifelong learning. I feel really good about my strengths.…

I definitely felt my spiritual and environmental health could be improved, so the interpretations at the bottom explained ways to better my understanding. My physical, intellectual, and emotional wellness scores were pretty good, but the interpretations, again, said there was room for improvement that I can take a look at.…

Many events have happened through the years which have proved to me how important my family is to me. An event which helped me realize this was the death of my grandpa who lived in Ukraine where my family is originally from. The amount of times I had seen the man I could count on my fingers. This had taught me a very valuable lesson, to be as close with my elders as I can because they aren’t getting any younger. This opened up my eyes to a vast amount of information coming from those who had seen it all. I accredit much of my success to my family members who have provided much inspiration. The event which had influenced me the most had to be almost losing my only blood brother. He is my best friend and I am thankful every day that he is alive.…

My Social Readjustment Rating Scale score was 570. To say the least the past year has been a world wind. From reading the scale explanations it states that illness is possible with the amount of stress I have had in the past year. I have found this to be true. In the past month I have been feeling more run down than usual. I think now that I have begun scheduling my time again; things will start to settle down. Now when I took the two other quizzes my score was a lot better. The first quiz was 30 and the second was 64. I believe with all the stress I have been having the only way I have been completing everything was with my organization. I am also very ambitious so I do not like waiting to get tasks done. I have learned that setting time aside for tasks is the best way to complete them. I have to continue to delegate my time wisely and complete my tasks in a timely manor. I have been using my monthly calendar and alarms to keep me on track. I also have written down my personal goals and take time out each day to review them. Knowing what is at the end of the journey helps keep me motivated.…

The beginning of my freshman year in high school changed my life. I had set many types of goals for myself this year including making friends, helping others and being a part of the most incredible organization, Blue Guards. Blue Guards is apart of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps at Oxon Hill High School. Blue Guards was not only a drill team, it was a family, a family of girls and boys working together, leading others, having discipline, and respecting each other as a team. Walking into the first day of school knowing I was going to be part of this team made me light up like a light bulb.…

Something difficult I have gone through that changed me. Although, in the beginning it was extremely difficult to cope, I believe this experience changed me for the better. It has shaped me into the person I am today. Being the oldest of three in a broken family has forced me to become a role model, and taught me to take on large responsibilities. I learned how to use my independence for the better of my siblings. I learned how to cope with difficult people, I learned how to put on a happy face, I learned how to leave my family life at home. I learned how to be happy with my friends and at school. I learned how to smile through the day, ultimately being content with my life. I gained the strength to look at the pros and not the cons. This unfortunate situation has caused me to become a more positive person. If I could give one piece of advice to…
