See You See Them Run And A Christmas Carol
My freshman year at St. Dominic High School was pretty fun, I met a lot of great people and I did a lot of fun thing. During this past year I went to some of the football team’s home games and I helped out setting up and working backstage on the production of See Them Run and A Christmas Carol. I enjoyed helping out in the plays because even though we were all tired and sore at the end of a practice we knew it would be worth.

I absolutely love scary things. For example, I love haunted houses. Every year my family goes to the Safe House haunted houses at Tech. I usually bring a friend of my choice. Well, last year I brought Kaela Blais. She’s not into scary stuff like I am. When we went in the first haunted section, we walked about halfway down the hallway and she started crying. So I ended up walking out with her and my little brother and cousin came with us cause they were scared too. I had to comfort her on the way down and we sat in some chairs and waited for the rest of my family. I really wanted to go in the haunted house but I didn’t want to leave Kaela. We ended up finding two other of my friends and we went in this house that was for little kids and it was lame, but fun. In one of the hallways there was bubble wrap all over the floor and that entertained us a lot. Me and my friends had a lot of fun…

I favored the DVD over the written version of A Christmas Carol. Short stories and novels are not as interesting in my opinion. The book had a much darker tone throughout it. The movie had a slightly more lighthearted tone, with Scrooge laughing more often.…

The high school has given me all types of opportunities from discipline to study options and also preparing me for college and the real world. I’s truly grateful for all the supports given to get this far because high school helped changed and mold me to become the young lady that I is today. It helped further my education and I continue to pray to the lord above that I can stay on track because only God knows where I’m headed with this education; but for sure it’s for a better me. Hopefully my years at Concordia will be the years of…

Introduction-Sometimes the things you do can affect you on your future and make you get marked again from them. On the act of “A Christmas Carol”, we read how one of the main characters (Scrooge) was the man that no one didn't like and when he changed. Essay 1: The idea that social reform begins with moral transformation in the individual is demonstrated through Scrooge by his miraculous change in personality and thought. In the beginning of the story, Scrooge is a cold and selfish individual that sees Christmas as a time of bills rather than celebration. He is a heartless man who thinks only of money and practically ignores humanity. For example, on page 10 of the book, two gentlemen visit Scrooge at his office and kindly ask him to donate money to the poor. They tell him that many people would rather die than go to establishments such as shelters. Scrooge shrewdly answered, " If they would rather die, they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population." This statement portrays his inhuman feelings towards those less fortunate than he.…

Starting high school was a terrifying idea to me. Different teachers, class times, lockers, drama! I remember that I always looked up to my older sister while she was in high school. She had tons of friends, played sports, participated in student government, and went out for the school play. I wanted to be just like her when I started high school. In middle school, I lined myself up for this, I played soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter. I helped out in the school plays, and I joined the student government. I had a group of great friends, and thought nothing bad was going to happen.…

In this essay, I will analyze how the main protagonist in A Christmas Carol transforms from being a mean and spiteful character, to the generous man at the end. Charles Dickens set the novella at Christmas time in the 19th Century. I will analyze the language he used, the atmosphere and the tone of his writing, when portraying the characters in a time of terrible poverty. Then I will also be evaluating the style and form of the story, the use of imagery and how I think the imagery might help me with the understanding of the story and characters. Finally, analyzing the social, historical and cultural features which are implicit and explicit within the text, and summarizing how relevant the issues raised in ‘A Christmas Carol’ are present in today’s multicultural society.…

It was a 3-day weekend or someday in my senior year of high school that I was able to persuade my mother to let me go to Irvine Spectrum with friends on a Friday afternoon. This was the last couple times that I could hang-out with my high school friends before we walked our way to the graduation; we better did something fun! However, there was really nothing, yes, nothing,…
