I believe that Section 10 of the LASA helped me increase my self-awareness because it allowed me to take a deep look at my childhood situations that I avoided. One particular area I talked about was resentment. The reason I distance myself from my family over the years is because of the resentment I had toward them as an adolescent. After being ridiculed, thrown out of the house at 15 years old, and told never to come back home hurt me emotionally.
