Screen Printing VS Digital Printing
Screen Printing VS Digital Printing
Screen printing and digital printing are two different ways of printing on to a t-shirt. Custom made t-shirts are great! Custom made t-shirts have really become popular and fashion is an important factor. I work at Model T’s, a t-shirt shop. Why choose screen printing, its higher quality and you have more options as far as art work. Digital printing is faster and cheaper, but not as much detail as screen printing.
Screen printing is higher quality and last a very long time. Screen printing is better quality because the ink gets deeply absorbed. If you would like more than twenty shirts, you would want screen printing. It cost more because they are more work involved. You have more options as far as picking art to go on your t-shirt. The color will be what you picked and you can get better detail on a shirt by screen printing.
For screen printing you pick the art you want to go on a shirt. The art will get broke down; each piece will go on its own screen. This is why it’s called screen printing; screens are used to print t-shirts. Each piece of art will go on a different mesh screen. The different mesh is to let different amounts of ink come through the screen on to the t-shirts. If it is a dark color t-shirt then you will have one screen for the underlay. The underlay is usually white ink and goes first on the t-shirt. Screen printing is good for groups such as schools, churches and sports.
Digital printing is great for maybe a gift for a love one, something like getting a love ones picture on a t-shirt. Digital printing is simple. What you need for digital printing, a computer and a printer with every color. It is easy to operate cause you just have to push a button and much faster than screen printing.
Digital printing is cheaper compared to screen printing. Digital printing will not last as long as screen printing. Digital printing will fade away after so many washes. It is best to wash than hang to dry and not

My second suggestion would be to buy dell printers that have Color Track. Color Track is a management tool that comes already embedded in Dell Laser Printers which helps with better color management. Color Track lets organizations to monitor and limit access to color printers and is targeted to business and offices. One of the best features to this is the password enabled usage that only lets the users that know the password to print in color. If you are looking for a great management tool to better control the ink cost and monitor who is printing in excessive, then I would highly recommend investing your money in a Dell Printer with Color track. This link is highly detailed in what Color Track had to offer. Link- http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/solutions/color_track.pdf…

3D printing can print almost anything you want to a 3D version. Thomas Jefferson writes a letter to George Wythe that states “ Has there ever been one lost since the art of printing has rendered it practicable to multiply and disperse copies? This leads us then to the only means of preserving those remains of our laws now under consideration, that is, a multiplication of printed copies.” It’s important because without the multiplication of printed copies books would have not been in the same condition as they are now. They would been eaten by bookworms, not taken care of, and if there is a fire they could have been burned and had been lost forever. 3D printing is possible because the printing press had already been invented.. 3D printing can help since a spray can be made in the 3D printer to kill the bookworms.Francis Bacon states “ The Printing Press has changed the appearance and state of the whole world,” ( Bacon, March…

    The 1440 Printing Press

A printing press is a machine engineered for the purpose of mass fabricating and duplicating text and images in a short amount of time with the use of metal type or plates. The very first printing press with movable type, where the type can be moved and rearranged to form new and different text, dates back in China in 1,000 A.D, created by a man named Pi Sheng. However, due to the complexity of the Chinese language, which contains thousands of characters, the printing press was proven void as it took too long and hard to reorganize the type. Back in Europe, no such invention was created yet, so scribes and monks copied books by hand, which took months and perhaps years to finish, making books rare, expensive, and solely involved with religion…

    The Death of Print

    • 1761 Words

Daniel Okrent has been in the publishing industry his whole career. He is a published author and has served as an editor for Time, Life, and the New York Times. In a 1999 lecture to students attending Columbia University’s School of Journalism, Okrent predicts, “I believe they (news papers, magazines, and books), and all forms of print are dead” (Okrent 578). A little harsh, wouldn’t you agree? But fear not, he then goes on to describe how even though the death of print is inevitable, it really doesn’t make a difference because it is the words, sentences, and paragraphs in those forms of print that are important. Now, the majority of the reading I take in comes from online sources. I probably manage to read an average of about one book every two years. This amount is hardly anything to brag about. However, I do find myself viewing specialized topics online that I would probably have had to read a book to gain knowledge on if the online sources weren’t so easily accessible. I also subscribe to a few print magazines that I have interest in. Looking at the literature landscape today, Okrent’s predictions on the future of the print industry seem to be eerily accurate. However, a bit of wishful thinking seems to come through in his claims that “ . . . the words and pictures and ideas and images and notions and substance that we produce is what matters – and not the vessel they arrive in” (Okrent 580). Do the vessels matter? Can quality writing and accurate information find its way through the unfiltered sewage of unchecked claims, shock bloggers, and desperately aggressive advertising?…

If you have ever purchased a printed t-shirt, you have probably experienced fading from the print after it has been washed several times. You should expect a quality printed t-shirt to resist fading at least through 36 washes. The best thing you can do to protect you print from wear is to turn your garment inside out when you wash and dry it. The process of washing and drying creates a rubbing action against the print and causes it to fade.…

The Worst Job I Ever Had

    • 1155 Words
    • 5 Pages

The first reason that the printing job was the worst job that I had is that I had to face many difficulties while going through this job. The job that I was supposed to do was to print the designs on the t-shirts. First, I had to wait until the machine got hot about 75 degrees which makes the whole area get hotter in minutes. Second, I had to clear the wrinkles, if any on the t-shirts and place six pair of the same color and same size on one side of the hotter surface. The best part that I like about the job is that I can use any designs to print and do any creative works on it. However, I had to position the design that suits the color of the T-shirts on the middle of the T-shirt. Finally, I had to press hard on the other side of the heavy machine on to the top of the T-shirts with designs and wait for about five to ten minutes to get the designs on the T-shirts. I had to use…
