Scout Being Courageous

Courage, it is a uncommon thing but when it happens you will know. In To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, courage is shown in many different ways as in standing up for a teacher, coming out of your house for the first time in many years, and getting off an addiction. Courage is the ability to do something that frightens someone.
Bravery has a lot to do with being courageous. Being courageous is very frightening to some people if they aren't brave enough to do it, but not Little Chuck Little. In the story it states, “He was among the most diminutive of men, but when Burris Ewell turned toward him, Little Chuck’s right hand went to his pocket. ‘Watch your step Burris’ he said. ’I’d soon’s kill you as look at you. Now go home.” (36-37) Burris was threatening Miss Caroline so Chuck had reached into his pocket for his pocket knife, he had done that to try to scare off Burris.
Boo Radley had come out of house to put a blanket around Scout's shoulders during the fire. The story states, “As we drank our cocoa I noticed Atticus looking at me, first with curiosity, then with sternness.’ I thought I told you and Jem to stay put,’ he said. ‘Why, we did. We stayed-’ ‘Then whose blanket is that?’ ‘Blanket?’ ‘Yes ma’am, blanket. It isn’t ours,’ I looked down and I found myself clutching a brown woolen blanket I was wearing around my shoulders squaw-fashion.” (95) Boo had come out during Miss Maudie's house fire and put a blanket around Scout’s shoulders so she could warm up, since it was the middle of the night during
