Scott Howard: Teen Wolf
Scott Howard is the local hardware delivery boy from the hit 80’s film: Teen Wolf. Scott works hard to balance life and school - as most teens do in their day-to-day life. Unfortunately, Scott has a secret he must not let anyone know; he is a werewolf. On top of that, he can’t seem to get the girl of his dreams to notice him, his friend group all consists of losers, and his basketball team has never seen over 12 points on a scoreboard. This hysterical and sporadic film takes you into the life of a teen werewolf who constantly has to readjust to his absurd family gene, have love interests, and play basketball. Hinton’s timeless novel The Outsiders, who has both mental and physical scars from his horrific beating at the hands of the Socs -which not only linger upon his skin, but also penetrate his heart. In chapter two of this engaging and teen-centered novel, we dig deeper into the past of Johnny Cade’s life, thanks in part to a captivating first-person flashback from Johnny’s fellow Greaser, Ponyboy Curtis. After watching the clips from Mean Girls and the related video presented in class, along with the article "High School Confidential: Notes on Teen Movies" by David Denby, p. 366, I believe that genre films reflect reality. All the scenes in genre films took place in high school, where presented many types of people such as the jocks sport, the nerd, the gangsters, the mean girls, the pretty girls, the prom queens, the ugly girls, the rich kids, and the slackers. Because of the presence of these people, it made the genre films more reality. Even though, I am not a teen in high school right now, I still remembered the time when I was in high school. I think that is the most interesting time for people at teen age. Indeed, these adolescents are…

Some people choose not to belong; this is very well demonstrated in the character Scott who is one of the main and most important characters and also the best dancer of his generation and dance group. Scott has the potential to win the Pan Pacific Grand prix one of the most prestigious dance competitions, but instead he chooses to dance his own steps because he is fed up of the same cliché dance moves and wants to expand himself in the world of ballroom dancing. Scott is one of the better looking guys in this film with his slicked back hair, good style, great dancer and comes across as an outgoing person. At the start of the film he is kind of self-absorbed and a selfish guy who does not want to listen to anybody and kind of gives of the impression that people should look up to him, but a certain scene where he meets Fran…
