Scope

INTRODUCTION: The Montessori Professional College International (Imus) branch is now facing problems with regards to monitoring the attendance of the students during school hours. Schools do have students willing to learn to the extent of always attending their classes, but in reality we can’t ignore the fact that some of the students do not attend their class to some important reasons and their parents or guardian are not aware of it. As the problem became exceedingly noticeable, the researchers aim to develop a Student Monitoring System with SMS using Fingerprint Scanner that will provide an effective and accurate answer for monitoring on how many times they enter and exit the school premises.
From the moment the school started operating until now, the student can enter or exit the school as many times as they want as long as they are wearing complete uniform and having Certificate of Registration confirming that they were paid their tuition during the examination week. And this kind of system is not so effective and not reliable; some students just pass their Certificate of Registration and one of the uniforms to the other student at the other gate because there is no security guard assign there, only the first gate is having a security guard for the entrance and exit.
But with the proposed system no one can escape the rules of the school because aside from the guard duties, students can’t enter the school if their finger print is not registered and which is no one can imitate. This system is connected to a database that can store huge amount of data. It has restriction that right professor can only have the access to compute the attendance to those students under his/her handled section. With this system not only the professor will be aware if the student is not attending the class but also their parents or guardians.
