Where is your money going? Did you know over a million dollars go to waste from buying a ton of batteries that barely work. For my science fair project I am going to test the 4 most popular brands of batteries in America, Duracell, Energizer, Rayovac, and a Alkaline battery named Enercell. The problem is that big battery brands run out quick and you feel like a fool, because you fell for their false advertising. So to accomplish this I am going to test different brand of batteries by using a battery conductor. The battery brand Energizer is the worst battery I ever saw. For people who like the Energizer batteries it must come to shock when u realize that materials that the Energizer batteries is made out of is zinc-carbon cells. In other words a dry battery which falls into the category of general batteries. Even tough they make over 5 billion dollars a year by selling their batteries.
Then there is the Enercell battery which isnt that famous but the material it is made out of it is which is Akayline. No matter how much brain washing information the advertisements claim they are false as akayline isnt so different from general batteries. The akayline batteries as the modern version of the general. The only enhancement in that is that the electrolyte is mixed with a little more elements with makes the akyline in the battery stronger.
Also there is the Duracell battery which is made out of Akayline, and Lithium. Which is the one best battery that I am testing. The final and last battery I am testing is the Rayovac which has quite a interesting history. Did you know that a Rayovac battey company used to make two of the batteries that I am testing. Such as the Enercell battery owners were Rayovac. Also The Energizer battery company used to be bissuness

You might think that batteries are a modern invention, but batteries were one of the first ways of making electricity. Alessandro Volta discovered the first electric battery in 1800. He made a giant stack of alternating layers of zinc, blotting paper soaked in salt water, and silver. This early design for a battery became known as the voltaic pile.…

I’m doing my science project on which food wrapping will prevent freezer burn the best aluminum foil, plastic bags, or freezer paper. This experiment seemed interesting to me because a lot of people get freezer burn on their foods. My mother also gets freezer burn on her foods a lot and she always tries different food wrappings but none of them seem to work. This project will benefit people from getting freezer burn on their food, and so they will know which wrapping is the worse to use and the one that is less preventable.…

Lead acid cells were invented in 1859 by the French Physicist Gaston Plante, and are the oldest types of rechargeable batteries. These types of batteries typically weigh at 5kg, but can range from half a kilogram to over 30 kilograms on the consumer market. Though their chemistry means a very low energy-to-weight and energy-to-volume ratio in comparison to other modern batteries, their ability to supply high surge currents means that the cells maintain a large power-to-weight ratio. This makes them highly desirable for use in large appliances such as motor vehicles, which require the high current provided by this type of battery.…

The mercury button cell produces a voltage of 1.3V, which remains fairly constant until the end of its life. Although it produces a lower voltage than the dry cell, the button cell can handle greater drain rates without a rapid drop in output voltage and has a longer shelf life. However, this button cell is more expensive than the dry cell. The button cell is also used in portable items but has allowed the use of miniature and light electrical appliances such battery-powered watches, hearing aids and scientific equipment (calculators).…

Rayovac Corporation is a company that produces name brands products on the market. One of the products of Ryovac is battery. The division in charge of the sale of the battery in the company is the Rayovac Battery division which has Falconi as the vice-president of sales and marketing. Rayovac Corporation has been operating since 1906, eight years before the World War I. The name Rayovac has been introduced to the company in 1930.Rayovac Corporation especially it spectrum brands started competing with Duracell and Energizer a little later after these two were already established on the market. In this 21st century, Rayovac batteries still compete directly with Duracell and Energizer and indirectly with subsidiary products like disposable devices (cameras …) and other rechargeable batteries. In general which is the 3rd largest producer and seller of batteries in the world (with 14% of the market share in the world and 20% market share in Canada) has it products (batteries, hearing aids batteries, shaving and grooming products lighting and personal care) everywhere in the world.…

The Batteries form a significant part of many electronic devices. Typical electrochemical batteries or cells convert chemical energy into electrical energy. Batteries based on the charging ability are classified into primary and secondary cells. Secondary cells are widely used because of their rechargeable nature. Presently, battery takes up a huge amount of space and contributes to a large part of the device's weight. There is strong recent interest in ultrathin, flexible, safe energy storage devices to meet the various design and power needs of modern gadgets. New research suggests that carbon nanotubes may eventually provide the best hope of implementing the flexible batteries which can shrink our gadgets even more. The paper batteries could meet the energy demands of the next generation gadgets. A paper battery is a flexible, ultra-thin energy storage and production device formed by combining carbon nanotubes with a conventional sheet of cellulose-based paper. A paper battery acts as both a high-energy battery and super capacitor, combining two components that are separate in traditional electronics. This combination allows the battery to provide both longterm, steady power production and bursts of energy. Non-toxic, flexible paper batteries have the potential to power the next generation of electronics, medical devices and hybrid vehicles, allowing for radical new designs and medical technologies.…
