Schorlarship Application Essay
Dear Committee of Scholarship,
I believe I deserve to be selected for one of your 1MDB Academic Grant because as a hard working student I commit myself to effectively take advantage of the opportunity that the scholarships will provide me. Besides, I am a student that does not only persistently works hard academically, but also I constantly try to improve my own community's quality of life by doing volunteer work. I believe education is the key to success, and I try to connect my passion for education with my desire of helping others. As a result, I decided to be part of the establishment of a non-profit organization named Sri Murugan Centre, which provides educational resources to parents, educators and students. I started my education voyage with SMC in standard 6 until form 5. SMC has given me a lot of encouragement and motivation to success in education and life. I am a straight A’s student in UPSR and PMR. SMC had been helping me a lot in education all this while. They also taught me about religion and Hindusm.
I have known in my heart since I was a little boy what I wanted to be when I grew up. It was not a stereotypical child’s dream such as a doctor or an astronaut; my vision was instead something that has shaped my actions and decisions throughout my life. In the last few years I have realized that my passion for sailing is a natural calling that I am destined to
