Changing school start times to later hours has many beneficial ways to benefit the students, do you think that school districts should do late start? In many places around the world, there are multiple schools that begin school at later times. In these schools there have been improvements in students behaviors. Experts also notice the differences and also agree is is an improvement that they urge schools, students, and parents that is a beneficial change. An expert named Lindsey Bekham, who wrote the story, "Sleep Without A Problem!" says, "These years are formative in teaching good habits and helping students acquire skills that will benefit them later in life." A study from the University of Minnesota confirmed that later school start times can have a positive effect on academic performance. The students test scores increased by 25% in a study by the AAA corporation, after pushing the school time back at least 45 minutes. They also reported less daytime sleepiness, allowing them to preform better in school. Being more involved and learning the material way quicker than a school with a group of students starting earlier than them. In 8 schools after 3 years of studying have guaranteed data that students ACT test scores have improved drastically. Helping improve the schools appearance and the students GPA's. This helped them receive scholarships, councilor help and College acceptance letters. The older teens get their biological genes make it harder for them to get up in the morning due to the brain telling the body they still need more sleep and this can cause the students who ride the bus to miss it. Sleeping in at least another 30 minutes is proved to have sufficient test scores allowing them to think better and not focus on how tired they are if they start school earlier. The students were able to finish homework and still get enough sleep when they started school later.
