School Shootings
In the last 10 months there have been 45 school shootings in America. Since December 14, 2012, there have been 142 shootings at schools. Many say the chance that a person will be targeted in school shooting is bellow 1%. However, despite these odds, many students and parents have become extremely worried in the wake of the most recent tragedy. On Thursday, October 1, a gunman opened fire at a college in Oregon injuring many and killing 10. Many people all over the country are now demanding a change. It appears the incident in Oregon was the last straw for many in a long line of catastrophes involving unnecessary deaths in today’s youth. School shootings have become a widespread issue throughout the United States. This is not acceptable. There are many ways we as a country can bring this number down and end school shootings.

Studies have shown that adult- child relationships lead to a more productive and healthy working force as the children grow up. The more role models children grow up the better lives the children are predicted to have. This is because adults provide children with varieties of options for their futures. This in turn teaches them to strive for their dreams and all that they want in their lives. If today’s youth can be the generation with the most help from adults, the country can be one step closer to the goal of ending all shootings in
