School Psychologist Personal Statement
At the time, I began my undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign it was my aspiration to become an early elementary teacher. However, in the middle of my sophomore year of my undergraduate studies, my ambition of being a schoolteacher changed. After taking and enjoying many psychology courses, I became enthralled by the discipline. I wanted to pursue careers in the fields of psychology and education. My interests in psychology and my passion for working with children in an educational setting are one of the many reasons I took an interest in the career of a school psychologist.

Diverse learning environments drive innovation and foster creativity beneficial to all students. Therefore, studying at The Chicago Professional School of Psychology will prepare me to support students with diverse cultures. The diverse student body at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology will aid in my development for a deeper understanding of individual ideas and opinions while challenging me to see different viewpoints through their lenses.

My career goal is to graduate with my Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology and to begin professional work as a certified school psychologist.While working as a school psychologist, I have aspirations of becoming a Practicum Supervisor and helping future school psychologists gain field experience. It is my ambition to continue my education and earn my degree in School Psychology and pursue a clinical license. With my degree, contributing best approaches to the field of school
