Should schools abolish exams?

Schools should replace exams It is important for schools to measure how well students understand the material presented to them. Presently, we do this through exams. However, the snapshot exam is a poor measure of how well students actually understand the material. It would be good to abolish exams, but only if they are replaced with a superior system of measuring achievement and understanding.

Suicide, Teach to test and Time Factors Exams cause high stress and anxiety levels causing students to not perform at their best. High stress and anxiety levels can cause underachievement from the students. As a result more suicide is going to happen from students feeling pressured into doing well.
Students will also start believing that if it is not on the exam then it is no longer relevant for real life. This is a problem as there is no real authentic learning method.
Time factors are also a big contribution as exams can be very stressful in timed circumstances. Students with ADD, ADHD etc will have trouble and begin crying. Other injuries and conditions may not be taken under special consideration while in an exam situation.

I think exams should not be abolished. How can you evaluate a student if this method is removed? It is important for schools to measure how well students understand the material presented to them, because otherwise the teachers might have explained everything in class in vain. The evaluation based on the grades taken in exams can help the teachers see what the students don’t understand and make them understant it.
