School Basement Research Paper

Basements are used for storage, filled with cockroaches and dust, but this basement is used for me to grow in my faith, filled with laughter and God’s love. This basement is where I joined the Couples For Christ - Youth Delaware in 2010. This is where my maturity, my confidence, and my passion flourished. In middle school, I was shy and insecure being in the minority. I hated walking through the halls, making eye contact with others, speaking in public, and socializing with others. I felt as if everyone was against me. Once I entered this basement and joined this Catholic youth group, my insecurities slowly disappeared. This youth group gave me a sense of belonging and community that I didn’t have at school.
